Austrey C.E. (Controlled) Primary School is a co-educational day
school, catering for children from 4 to 11 years old. |

| It
is a small, rural, church school with around 100 pupils. The school liaises closely with the Church, pre-school and local community and is part of a cluster of local schools, enabling specialist resources, teachers, learning support assistants and equipment to be shared, as well as visits and workshops to be organised jointly. The cluster is known as the Anker Valley Partnership, made up of six primary schools and the secondary school they feed, The Polesworth School. |

| The school has well established, successful induction programmes with pre-school, which is on the school site and The Polesworth School, to which most of the children transfer. | |||

This ensures that the children's
move from pre-school to the reception year and at the end of the primary
to secondary school is a smooth transition. Parents are welcomed in to school and work in close partnership with the head teacher and staff to ensure that all children`s needs are met.
