Austrey Rubber Bridge Club was founded approximately 18 years ago by Susan Penny and Sue Collins.  Both are still members but no longer sit on the Committee.  The Club welcomes players of all abilities and is noted for its friendly atmosphere.

Experienced players are expected to be helpful towards less able players.  One does not need a partner to join, and a game is always guaranteed.  The Club at present has 22 members and would like to increase its membership. 

Sue Collins on 01827 830624 is always willing to offer free weekly lessons to those interested in learning this best of card games, with a view to joining on Monday nights at the Village Hall at 7.30 until 10pm.

The present Committee consists of Sue Daley and Sue Belcher (tel: 830183) who are responsible for the day to day running.

Peter Oliver acts as Treasurer. 

Annual fees are £5.00 with £1 a session being charged to cover the rent of any hall, heating, cards etc and a ‘cuppa’ and biscuits.
