Superfast Broadband Project Update

Children's Services at George Eliot Saved

The saga of Paediatrics and Maternity at the George Eliot Hospital (GEH) is nearly over. The Arden Cluster PCT have decided to declare that they are in favour of retaining children and women's services at the George Eliot, and the only real change is that children requiring inpatient treatment for more than a day will go to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW).

Village Traffic Plan

Arrangements have been put into place by Warwickshire County Council for the physical delivery of the Village Traffic Plan previously presented to the village by the Council Traffic Officer at the Parish Council meeting.  It is anticipated that the work will be carried out between mid-May and mid-June of this year and will involve the re-painting of road marking and new street signage.

Planning Permission for Gaoh Energy Mast Refused

Planning permission for the 60 metre high meteorological proposed by Goah Energy has been refused by the North Warwickshire Borough Council Planning Committee who met on Monday 16 April 2012.  Currently it is not clear whether Gaoh Energy wish to appeal the decision.

Potential Wind Farm in Chilcote

You may have received a letter from Regeneco who are investigating the potential for a wind farm of between 5 and 8 masts, maximum 135 metres in height. This will be situated just outside No Man's Heath, in Chilcote. The documents are available below for anyone who has not received them. Alternatively please see the Parish Council notice board (outside the shop).
