Scout Management Committee

As you maybe aware, the Scout Group in Warton did not re-open after the Summer holidays last year.

Scouting in the area has resumed as the "Austrey and Warton Scout Group".  We meet at Austrey School on Monday evenings and currently have 20 regularly attending members, with more due to join us shortly.

As part of the development of the group we need to form a Management Committee who will assist with the development and management of the Group.  The inaugural meeting of this Committee will be on Saturday 21st January at Austrey Village Hall at 7pm.

We are looking for people to join the committee - you don't need any Scouting experience, just a desire to support the development of the Scout Group and the community.

If you, or any other members of your organisation, would like to become involved in the Group, you are invited to attend the meeting.

Immediately after the meeting the Beavers and Cubs (supported by their leaders) will be setting off for a Night Hike around Austrey and No Man's Heath.  They will navigate their way around the paths surrounding the village and complete tasks at various bases along the route.  They will then return to the Village Hall for supper, sleep and then breakfast the following morning.  This is the first of many activities planned for the Group this year.

If you would to become involved with the group, or would just like to find out more about what we do, please come along at 7pm on the 21st January at Austrey Village Hall.

Thank you for your support,

Regards,

Matthew Humphreys
